Karachi – Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN), a leading healthcare provider in Pakistan. IHHN has established itself as a trusted name in the healthcare industry with a mission to provide free, high-quality healthcare to 6 million patients annually. It started as a 150-bedded hospital in 2007, and today it has grown into a diverse network of 15 Hospitals, 4 Regional Blood Centers, 4 Physical Rehabilitation Centers, 36 Primary Care Sites and numerous Public Health Initiatives. All of this has been achieved purely through donations.
IHHN treats millions of patients each year, across multiple specialties. It is also one of the primary providers of healthcare to people in remote parts of Pakistan, who have trouble accessing healthcare. It achieves this by establishing clinics and labs in remote parts of the country to dispense care to vulnerable communities. IHHN has also been at the forefront of providing healthcare services during nationwide healthcare crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic and floods.
A notable service line in IHHN’s medical directorate is its multidisciplinary Pediatric Oncology services. Presently, IHHN’s Pediatric Oncology Unit is a center of excellence and is one of the largest childhood cancer units in the region. It receives patients not only from all over Pakistan but from other countries too, such as Afghanistan. To date, the network has treated over 12,000 children for cancer and blood diseases.
In order to cater to the increasing demand for affordable healthcare, IHHN is constructing a 1,350-bed multispecialty hospital at the Korangi Campus in Karachi, which will be Pakistan’s largest, private-sector free-of-cost hospital. Aiming to serve the inhabitants of Pakistan’s second-largest city, Lahore, IHHN has also begun constructing the Indus Hospital – QF, NST & SMP Jubilee Town Campus in Lahore, which will be a 600-bed multispecialty hospital.
To quote the Founding President of IHHN, Dr Abdul Bari Khan, “This hospital started out as a mere dream and today it saves the lives of millions of people, absolutely free of cost. It is the generosity of our donors that has made this dream a reality and we look forward to their continued support as plan to expand the scope of our services.”
Indus Development Foundation (IDF) is a Canadian charity registered with the Canada Revenue Agency. Its focus is on creating awareness about the healthcare gap in Pakistan and raising funds to support IHHN in its efforts to provide people with free-of-cost quality healthcare.
