Karachi – Childhood cancer is a harsh reality that affects not just the child but the entire family. In Pakistan, thousands of innocent children are fighting for their lives, and many families cannot afford the cost of treatment, leaving these children without access to life-saving care. One of these brave children is Ayesha Noor, a seven year old who battled cancer for one year and obtained a physical disability as a result. Despite the challenges she faced, once Ayesha reached the Indus Hospital & Health Network, she persevered through chemotherapy and multiple surgeries. Ayesha is now walking with the help of her prosthetic leg and has become a cancer survivor and an inspiration to others.
But Ayesha’s story is just one of many. Childhood cancer is the second leading cause of death among children aged 1-14 in Pakistan, and the survival rate is just 30%, compared to 80% in developed countries. These children deserve a fighting chance without the added burden of financial stress on their families.
That is why we have teamed up with Naumaan Ijaz, Bushra Ansari and Yasmin Mogahed to raise funds for free cancer treatment for these vulnerable children. Donate generously and make a difference in the lives of these young fighters.
Let’s come together this blessed day of Jumuah to help save lives of these precious children.
